Extension and Alterations to DIY Retail Store

Improvements were made to the store entrance with a new porch extension and refurbishment of façade. This included redesigning the external areas to improve customer car parking facilities with improved circulation and separate entrance and exits points together with a designated loading bay area.

The store continued to trade throughout the operations and so works required careful planning to maintain vehicular and pedestrian access. The forecourt was originally a petrol station so there was the risk of uncovering underground petrol tanks during the grounds works. We provided full design and project management services together with role of CDM Co-ordinator.
